Shift: Daytime Hours - Anticipated to be Tuesday through Thursday (possibility of

increasing if enough staff are hired). 

Hours per Week: Varies with an average of 30+

Status: LTE

DESCRIPTION:  2024 RECRUITMENT - June through August 2024

​

Family Youth Interaction Community Services is currently seeking Summer Staff to join our

Summer Connections Program. Summer Staff provide group mentorship services and support

within community recreational settings.  Help us with connecting youth with their peers, adults and

communities. 

 

Services provided within community recreational settings include:

​

• Communication and interpersonal skills

• Community service opportunities

• Community skills development and enhancement training

• Conflict resolution

• Decision-making

• Problem solving

• Relationship skills

• Self-regulation

• Social skills experiences

• Team building skills

• Transportation

​

AVAILABILITY:

• Staff must be available to work ALL scheduled days for the Summer Connections Program.  There will be no program on July 4th, 2024.

​

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School or College Coursework or Associate or Bachelors or Masters Degree

• and/or Life Experience

• CPR/1st Aid training is a plus

• Lifeguard training is a plus

• Willing to train the right person.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

The incumbent of this position must have a valid Driver’s License, automobile insurance and satisfactory driving record is required.

Must be able to pass background check and random drug screening.
