Community Mentor Specialist / Professional

State: WI

Location: Madison Street office, Beaver Dam, WI

Pay Range: $17.50 – $35.00 per hour

Shift: Primarily Afternoon/Evenings (Roughly Noon/1:00 p.m. - 8:00/9:00 p.m.)

Hours per Week: 38 - 40+ 

Status: Full-time Hourly position

***Part-time positions are also available.  Must be available a minimum of 10+ hours per

week.

***Positions would absolutely require a minimum of an 18-month commitment.

Family Youth Interaction Community Services is currently seeking a Community Mentor

Specialist/Professional to work with youth and adult referrals.  The position provides services

for youth, adults and families. 

​

Services provided may include, but not limited to the following areas:

  • Communication and interpersonal skills training

  • Community service opportunities

  • Community skills development and enhancement training

  • Community supervision

  • Daily living skills training

  • Family support mentoring

  • Group skills training

  • Job skills training mentoring

  • Med observations

  • Recreational based mentoring

  • Respite related services

  • School based mentoring

  • Social skills experiences

  • Supervised visitation and interaction

  • Homework helper and wraparound related support

  • Transportation

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Human Services or closely related field is preferred;

  • and/or Life Experience

  • Willing to train the right person.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

The incumbent of this position must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and satisfactory driving record is required.

Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment and ongoing random drug screens.
